When Liberty Presbyterian Church established our preschool as an outreach ministry in 2002, we were called Liberty Early Education Center. Our name served as a broad description of our mission and goal to provide quality early education for members of our community. Over time however, The Church realized the community refers to them as "The Barn Church".
The church was first constructed in 1810 by eight members of the community. This original chapel still stands on our property. As the community grew a new space for worship was necessary. In 1995 our Barn Sanctuary was constructed as an old timber-frame barn-church. With the help of well-known Amish barn builders a beautiful structure was designed and erected behind the original chapel. As such, we have become regarded in the community as "Liberty Barn Church" and "the barn preschool".
So, in 2024 the church administration began discussion about officially adopting the name in which the community so fondly refers to us. As an outreach, the preschool maintained this identity and officially became Liberty Barn Preschool. This name honors our legacy while embracing a future full of discovery and wonder. That is the extent of our change. We remain the quality early education center whose focus is playful learning. Licensed by the Ohio Department of Jobs and Family Services (ODJFS), we are a private, non-profit entity serving the needs of our community.
Our passionate, professional educators continue to nuture, inspire and go above and beyond to nurture and inspire every child. Our creative programming is engaging, imaginative and developmentally appropriate and our beautiful campus is warm, caring and inspiring.

We are excited about this new chapter and what it means for our school family. Liberty Barn Preschool represents a place where children can grow, play, learn and thrive. It's a place that feels like home!
