Making A Difference :: How Our Preschool Shares Love And Support In The Community

As a small, warm, and caring school, and an outreach of Liberty Barn Church, we’re dedicated to making a meaningful impact in the community. From providing essentials to spreading joy during the holiday season, we are proud of the ways our little learners and their families have contributed to making the world a brighter place.

Twice per year our school our school comes together to adopt a family in need around Christmastime. Our Parent Group organizes this event by selecting a family and seeing to it that their wishes are granted. Teachers, parents and even students participate by donating items. It's a powerful lesson for our children about kindness and giving.

In the springtime, our Parent Group selects another organization to support. Over the years, we have worked with local food pantry's donating peanut butter and jelly and we have collected cans of food and other non-perishables so that the pantry is able to stock up on staples. Through the Pajama Drives, we have helped provide cozy sleepwear to children in need with the hope of comfort and a good night's sleep from our preschool community.

This year, we will work with another Liberty Barn Church ministry - MomCo. Working alongside the Wills Wings Foundation (created by one of our family members) we will provide support in the way of donations to hospitals to enhance their bereavement programs.

These initiatives are about more than just donations; they’re about instilling values in our students. As a small and nurturing school, and as part of our church’s outreach mission, we want children to grow up understanding the importance of helping others. Through these acts of kindness, our preschoolers learn that even small hands can make a big difference. ogether, we’re teaching the next generation the value of generosity and community spirit—one act of kindness at a time.
